Training Courses

Our experience and expertise means that we work with you, get to know your specific needs and drill into your challenges, to not only deliver excellent training but also offer ongoing support. We currently teach various courses designed by us relating to Airport Security, Airfield Safety and Wildlife Management. We can also offer training in the management of high risk and high footfall environments, to include leadership and command training where necessary. We teach the Department for Transport approved Recognition of Firearms and Explosives (RFX) course with our partners Heathrow Airport Ltd. Our modules are taught by dedicated and experienced subject matter experts. We pride ourselves in creating an inclusive learning environment for everyone and we don't believe in "one size fits all". We offer a full accredited initial course designed to instruct industry trainers and coaches in how to identify and safely handle individual components of dangerous weapons and devices. 

We opt for a blended approach, with a mixture of theoretical content and practical exposure as well as two separate live demonstrations to really bring home the deadly potential of some of these items. 

We provide hands on coaching and instruction into the safe handling, use and maintenance of issued firearms for the purpose of wildlife hazard management on an airfield. 

Whether it's pyrotechnics for wildlife dispersal or the last resort of shotguns or an air rifle, we create specific content based on the weapons you have at your disposal instead of just using generic equipment. We look to ensure we cover everything from practical use through to relevant law and policy. We provide instructors that are specialists in different weapons to make sure you are always getting the very best education. 

We can provide refresher or initial training depending on existing levels of expertise and can even help with creating your safety principles and operating procedures around firearms and other regulated equipment. Most training is conducted at the world famous Bisley Shooting Grounds National Shooting Centre, but we can also provide training at a location to suit you. All instructors are fully insured. 

Originally a bespoke request form one of our clients, we deliver a mix of practical and theoretical instruction on not only how to handle, maintain and store firearms but also how to provide accurate, constructive and supportive coaching to others. 

We can cover a range of weapons based on your needs and will give candidates scenarios to practice coaching skills and also reporting incidents using your systems. 

For many people this is their first introduction to security management. We currently teach firearms related threats to aviation security as part of the overall Level 3 course delivered by our partner Heathrow Airport Ltd. We can include introductions to various other different types of threat and how to respond. We can also cover decision making under pressure as well as how airports are typically policed effectively and the likely policing response. We can also test contingency planning.
